The Boosters have many ways for families and supporters to get involved. You can read the LHS Booster Handbook or review the current positions below.
co-Presidents
Co-President (Band): Co-lead Music Boosters to support the music program at LHS. Lead monthly Music Booster board meetings. Provide assistance to and oversight of all other Board members. Bring enthusiasm and direction to entire organization. Time commitment: 1-5 hours/month.

treasurer
Participate in monthly meetings of Music Booster board, providing reports on expenses, income, and budget. Track income and expenses, pay appropriate invoices, and support budgeting process of Music Boosters. Time commitment: 5 hours/month.
Secretary-
Participate in monthly meetings of Music Booster board, taking minutes. Assist Band and Choir Directors with preparation and submission of paperwork for various events. Assist with collection and retention of permission forms. Maintain Music Booster Handbook. Time commitment: 1-5 hours/month.
communication- Gabe Solmer
Participate in monthly meetings of Music Booster board. Coordinate communications, including maintaining website and distributing information to parents of students in music program. Maintain Sign-up genius for all volunteer positions. Maintain social media accounts for LHS Music Boosters (choir and band may maintain their own social media accounts). Time commitment: 1-2/month
Leads
PArking
Support student leaders in coordinating the collection of donations for Timbers/Thorns games, including withdrawal and deposit of money. Time commitment: 1 hour/match.
coffee
Coordinate periodic coffee sales, typically before each concert, including sending out electronic order forms, ordering and picking up coffee, and distributing coffee with help of parent volunteers. Time commitment: 5 hours/concert (3 times per year).
restaurant nights
Recommend a schedule of restaurant nights to the Music Booster Board and coordinate scheduling and advertising. Time commitment: 5 hours total
uniforms
Band: Assist band director in distributing uniforms, cleaning, repair, and collecting. Time commitment: 5-10 hours total.
Choir: Assist choir director in ensuring that all students have appropriate uniform items. Take and fulfill orders for t-shirts, jackets, etc. needed for tours and/or performances. Time commitment: 5-10 hours total.
tour organizers
Assist Band and Choir Directors in planning annual tour. Tour alternates between regional, Disneyland, and international locations. Be available during daytime to work on paperwork at LHS, review contracts and logistics, act as liaison with tour company, oversee accounting for fundraising and payments. Time commitment: 1-5 hours/month.
clinician sponsor
Band: Solicit sponsorship of individual clinicians. Time commitment: 5 hours total.
Choir: Solicit sponsorship of individual clinicians. Time commitment: 5 hours total
music-a-thon
Organize annual Music-a-thon fundraising event, including coordinating audio/visual matters, GoFundMe platform, and advertising. You can do this alone or recruit other parents to share in the fun. Time Commitment: 10 hours total
merchandise
Coordinate production and sale of LHS Music spirit wear and gear. Work with students for designs, order product, fulfill sales requests. Time commitment: 1-2 hours/month
concerts
Band: Coordinate set up, ushers, and hospitality for band concerts. Time commitment: 1-2 hours for each concert.
Choir: Coordinate set up, ushers, and hospitality for choir concerts. Time commitment: 1-2 hours for each concert.
retreats
Band: Assist band director in organization of and execution of annual retreat, including finding a location, arranging transportation, coordinating payment or scholarships, recruiting chaperones, coordinating food, etc.. Time commitment: 3 hours total.

library
Band: Assist Band Director in organizing music. Time commitment: 1-2 hours at end of each semester.

Band: Assist Band Director in booking transportation for events. Time commitment: 10 hours total.
