April 18 - PIL JV Band Invitational, at LHS, all day. (FLI-Band)
This event is for the FLI-Band to perform at, and our Symphonic Band members will help run it.

April 18 - Jazz Combos to perform at the Portland Art Museum for the Ace Mentor Luncheon

April 20 - PSU Small Jazz Ensemble Festival, all day (Jazz Combos)​

April 29 - OSAA State Solo Championships
For those who qualify from the PIL Solo and Ensemble Festival that was held in March

May 22 - Farewell Band Concert (LHS Auditorium) - 7 PM, all bands

May 28, 39, 30, 31: Marching Band Rehearsals 4:00-5:30PM at LHS (mandatory rehearsals as prep for Starlight Parade)

June 1 - Starlight Parade (Combined Symphonic and FLI bands)

• 3:00 PM - meet at Lincoln HS, get into uniform, rehearse, eat dinner together

• 6:00 PM - bus to parade route staging area

• 7:30 PM - parade begins

• 9:30 PM - parade ends

Band Retreat (for Wind Ensemble and FLI-Band Members)

This is not a required activity, but it is an AMAZINGLY fun activity that builds important community with the students. The cost of this is approximately $125. There will be scholarships available for students on free/reduced lunch or other special circumstances.

Pep Band Performances at Home Football Games

Music-A-Thon

 

This is a required performance fundraiser that works really well for us. Basically, the music department live-streams music performances non-stop and people donate money through GoFundMe. We rotate between Freshman band, Wind Ensemble, choir, jazz band, and guitar class. This also includes sub-sets from these groups. When not performing, students can go to the food room, game room, or study room. This is a super-fun activity that brings in a good amount of money for the music department.

Pep Band Performances for Basketball Games

 

The bands will be performing at select home basketball games. These performances are fun and create a larger sense of community for the school. Dates and times TBA.

PIL District Solo & Ensemble Festival

 

This is a district-wide festival that provides an opportunity for students to perform for an adjudicator as a solo or with a small ensemble (duet/quartet/etc).
